How To Answer College Program Questions For CSS Profile®

Here's how to correctly enter the college programs you're applying to on the CSS Profile®.

You need to enter the colleges you want to send the CSS Profile too. You can find the list of eligible CSS Profile colleges here.

How To Answer These Questions

Enter the college you want to send the CSS Profile to. You can enter a college either using a CSS Code Number, searching the College/Program name, or searching by State.

Can I Skip These Questions?

No, they are required.

College Program Details

Once you find your college, you need to enter some basic information about your application tot he college. Specifically, you need to enter the year you'll be in college in the 2026-27 academic year, provide the school ID (if the school's admission or financial aid office provided you one), and enter your plan for housing.

How To Answer These Questions

  • Select the appropriate year of college. If you're a high school senior going for an undergraduate degree, the appropriate answer is likely Bachelor's degree.
  • Enter the school assigned ID if you have one.
  • Enter your housing plans: on campus, off campus, with parents, with relatives.
