About This Scholarship
The Colorado chapter of WTS International, the professional association for women in transportation, runs one of the more generous local scholarship slates in the industry. For the 2026-27 cycle the chapter is offering seven awards: two graduate scholarships of $5,000 each, two undergraduate scholarships of $4,000 each, a $2,000 junior college/trade school scholarship, a $2,000 high school scholarship, and a $1,500 non-traditional student scholarship. That range means everyone from a high school senior eyeing civil engineering to a working adult returning to school for a transportation credential has a category to apply in.
Applicants must be pursuing a transportation-related field of study — the umbrella is broad, spanning engineering, planning, finance, logistics, and related disciplines. Winners are honored at the WTS Colorado Annual Awards Luncheon and Gala, and chapter winners are also forwarded for consideration for WTS International Foundation scholarships worth up to $10,000, so a strong local application can pay off twice.
Applications for the current cycle are open through mid-October and are submitted through the chapter's online application portal linked from the scholarship page.
