About This Scholarship
The Women's Western Golf Foundation has quietly become one of the most substantial scholarships in girls' golf, with more than 755 scholars supported across 45 states over more than half a century of continuous operation. The Foundation currently supports 61 active scholarship recipients with $5,000 annual grants that are renewable for up to four years, worth a total of $20,000 per scholar.
This is not a playing-ability scholarship. Awards go to female high school seniors who are involved with the sport of golf, and selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, and character. Applicants need at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and the application collects transcripts, test scores, a personal essay, and detailed family financial information.
Applications for the next class open November 1, 2026 and close March 7, 2027. Recipients keep the award through college as long as academic and financial requirements continue to be met.
