About This Scholarship

The Texas Corn Producers Association offers up to ten $1,000 scholarships to students attending Texas colleges and universities. TCPA is the grower association for Texas corn farmers, and its scholarship supports students in the state's colleges as they head toward careers that touch agriculture.

There are two categories: high school seniors and current college or university undergraduates, with status measured as of January 1. Applicants must attend, or plan to attend, a Texas college or university full time, and they must hold a current TCPA student membership. The student membership requirement is an easy hurdle compared with programs that require a parent to farm, because students sign up themselves through the TCPA join link.

Texas Corn uses the National Corn Growers Association's consolidated application, so one form covers both the TCPA scholarship and the national NCGA awards. Some essay questions repeat across the state and national sections, and applicants may reuse the same answer. Applications opened October 13, 2026 and are due before February 2, 2027.

Eligibility

  • High school senior or current college or university undergraduate (status as of January 1, 2027)
  • Attending or planning to attend a Texas college or university full time
  • Current TCPA student member (join through the TCPA link; the cost is not listed on the scholarship page)
  • Children of current TCPA and TCPB directors are not eligible

How To Apply

  • Join TCPA as a student member through the Join TCPA link on the scholarship page
  • Open the NCGA consolidated application linked from texascorn.org and select the Texas Corn Producers Association Scholarship (and a national scholarship if eligible)
  • Upload a resume and letter of recommendation and complete the essay questions, reusing answers where the state and national questions match
  • Submit before February 2, 2027

Why Trust The College Investor

The College Investor has helped millions of readers navigate paying for college and student loans since 2009. Every scholarship in our database is individually reviewed by our team before it goes live, and re-checked regularly so deadlines and links stay current.

Our Scholarship Standards

A listing here means our team checked that the award is real, currently active, and actually pays out. We won't list a scholarship that:

  • Charges any kind of fee to apply
  • Makes you join a paid membership, or sign up for an app or service, just to be eligible
  • Has a privacy policy that would let the sponsor sell or misuse your information
  • Collects essays, ideas, or contact details mainly to feed the sponsor's marketing
  • Can't show a winner from the past 12 months, or offers no way to reach the sponsor

One nuance: established companies and nonprofits that run applications through their own systems may still be listed, even though creating an account there is part of applying.
