About This Scholarship

Track to the Trades is the flagship scholarship of the SupplyHouse Foundation, the philanthropic arm of plumbing and HVAC supplier SupplyHouse. Now in its third year, the program has tripled in size for 2026: a $75,000 pool split across 30 awards of $2,500 each, up from 10 awards the year before after applications jumped 70% nationwide.

The program casts a wide net across the skilled trades. Trade school students in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or related programs can apply, along with high school seniors planning to pursue a trade, apprentices working toward licensure, and early-career tradespeople still building out training or certifications. Funds are designed to cover the real barriers to entry — tuition, tools, and certification exams.

Applications opened July 10, 2026 and are due November 10, 2026 through Bold.org, the Foundation's scholarship partner, which reviews applicants based on commitment to a trades career and demonstrated financial need.

Eligibility

  • Trade school students enrolled in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or related programs
  • High school seniors planning to pursue a trade after graduation
  • Apprentices working toward licensure and early-career tradespeople still completing training or certifications
  • Open nationwide; no application fee

How To Apply

Frequently Asked Questions

Do working apprentices qualify, or only students?

Both. Eligibility spans trade school students, high school seniors headed for the trades, and apprentices or early-career tradespeople already working in the field.

Why Trust The College Investor

The College Investor has helped millions of readers navigate paying for college and student loans since 2009. Every scholarship in our database is individually reviewed by our team before it goes live, and re-checked regularly so deadlines and links stay current.

Our Scholarship Standards

A listing here means our team checked that the award is real, currently active, and actually pays out. We won't list a scholarship that:

  • Charges any kind of fee to apply
  • Makes you join a paid membership, or sign up for an app or service, just to be eligible
  • Has a privacy policy that would let the sponsor sell or misuse your information
  • Collects essays, ideas, or contact details mainly to feed the sponsor's marketing
  • Can't show a winner from the past 12 months, or offers no way to reach the sponsor

One nuance: established companies and nonprofits that run applications through their own systems may still be listed, even though creating an account there is part of applying.
