San Antonio Area Foundation Common Scholarship Application Opening Soon
Offered by San Antonio Area Foundation
About This Scholarship
The San Antonio Area Foundation awards roughly $5 million every year through more than 100 scholarship funds, making it one of the largest scholarship providers in South Texas. Students aspiring to earn degrees, learn trades, or pursue specific careers can access over 90 of those opportunities through a single shared application — submit once and you are automatically considered for every scholarship whose eligibility you meet.
Individual awards have ranged from about $500 to $6,000, with an average around $2,000. Requirements vary by fund but commonly include a minimum GPA of 2.5 to 3.0, U.S. citizenship or legal residency, and enrollment at an accredited two- or four-year institution; many funds are limited to specific geographic areas, high schools, or fields of study. The foundation serves high school seniors, current college students, and returning adult students.
There is no charge to apply. Scholarship checks are made payable directly to the recipient's school and mailed to its financial aid office.
