Pride Foundation Scholarships
Offered by Pride Foundation
About This Scholarship
Pride Foundation runs the largest LGBTQ+ scholarship program in the Northwest, pooling more than 60 individual scholarship funds behind a single application. Students who identify as LGBTQ+ or questioning and live in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington complete one application and are automatically considered for every fund they match, which removes the usual burden of hunting down dozens of niche awards one by one.
The program is unusually open by design. There is no GPA cutoff, no restriction on major, and no citizenship check, and recipients may attend school anywhere in the country as long as they live in one of the five Northwest states when they apply. Community college, trade school, undergraduate, and graduate students are all eligible, as are adults returning to school later in life.
In the most recent cycle the foundation invested $1,000,000 in 121 student leaders, and it has awarded more than $11 million to over 2,700 students since 1993. Individual awards vary by fund, with many in the four-figure range and the average award running several thousand dollars.
