Polish Falcons Dr. T.A. Starzynski Scholarship

About This Scholarship

The Dr. T.A. Starzynski Scholarship is Polish Falcons of America's broad-based award for younger members. Most recipients receive a $1,500 grant, and one top applicant receives the Outstanding Starzynski Scholarship (Mary Kus) of $4,000.

The bar to qualify is lower than on the Falcons' Gorecki award. Applicants need at least two years as Benefit Members and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better, and the grant can be used at a two-year or four-year college, a university or a trade school. There is no cap on applicants from any one nest or district.

Polish Falcons is a fraternal benefit society, so membership comes through its insurance and annuity products, and members over 18 must have current national dues. Each grant is a one-time award that must be collected by the start of the fall 2027 semester.

Eligibility

• Polish Falcons of America Benefit Member for at least two years (membership is through PFA insurance/annuity products, which carry premiums)
• National dues current if over age 18
• Graduating high school senior or current undergraduate planning full-time study (at least 12 credit hours) at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or trade school
• Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
• One-time grant; Gorecki recipients are not eligible
• Grant must be collected by the beginning of the fall 2027 semester
