Oncology Nursing Foundation Doctoral Scholarship Opening Soon
Offered by Oncology Nursing Foundation
About This Scholarship
The Oncology Nursing Foundation's Doctoral Scholarships are the largest of the foundation's academic awards, providing $7,500 to registered nurses pursuing a PhD or DNP with a focus on cancer care. The foundation, which serves as the charitable partner of the Oncology Nursing Society, funds doctoral study because nurse scientists and doctorally prepared clinicians drive the research and practice standards that shape oncology nursing.
Applicants must be RNs enrolled in, accepted to, or applying to a PhD or DNP nursing program at an accredited institution for the 2027-2028 academic year, in good academic standing, and able to demonstrate commitment to oncology. A reference letter from a supervisor or academic advisor is required.
Like the foundation's other academic awards, the application includes a 100-word professional goals statement and a 500-word essay on the applicant's impact on patient care and alignment with the foundation's mission. The award is one-time only, with a single annual cycle opening September 15, 2026 and closing February 1, 2027.
