NJSGA Caddie Scholarship
Offered by New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Foundation
About This Scholarship
The New Jersey State Golf Association Caddie Scholarship Foundation has been sending Garden State caddies to college since 1947, awarding more than 3,700 scholarships totaling over $20 million in that time. For the 2025-26 academic year alone, the foundation provided 194 caddies with over $1 million in scholarships — making it one of New Jersey's largest private scholarship programs.
Eligibility is straightforward: applicants must have caddied for at least two seasons at a participating New Jersey golf club and enroll full-time as an undergraduate at an accredited institution. Awards are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study, and selection weighs academic record, financial need, character and leadership, and the applicant's caddie service record.
The application for the 2027-28 academic year is open now, with an October 15, 2026 deadline. Applicants submit an online application with a transcript, the first two pages of their parents' federal tax return, and employment verification from their club manager.
