NBAA William M. Fanning Maintenance Scholarship
Offered by NBAA Charities (National Business Aviation Association)
About This Scholarship
The William M. Fanning Maintenance Scholarship from NBAA Charities supports people training to become aircraft maintenance technicians in business aviation. Two $2,500 awards are made each cycle to help with educational costs.
The two awards target different stages. One goes to a student currently enrolled in an accredited airframe and powerplant (A&P) program at an FAA Part 147 school. The other is reserved for someone who has been accepted into an A&P program but has not started yet, which makes it one of the few aviation maintenance awards open to incoming students.
Applicants submit an essay, a resume, a transcript or acceptance letter, and one signed recommendation letter. NBAA limits applicants to one NBAA Charities award every other year.
