Evans Scholarship
Offered by Western Golf Association / Evans Scholars Foundation
About This Scholarship
The Evans Scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship awarded by the Western Golf Association's Evans Scholars Foundation to high-achieving golf caddies with limited financial means. It is one of the largest scholarship programs in the country built around a single after-school job: candidates must have caddied regularly and successfully for at least two years and are expected to caddie at their sponsoring club during the year they apply.
Selection turns on four pillars: a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need, and outstanding character. Applicants should have completed their junior year of high school with above a B average in college-preparatory courses. Applications are accepted at the beginning of the senior year of high school, and college freshmen may also apply.
The application posts online August 1, and the complete file, including the high school evaluation, transcript, test scores, and caddie evaluation, is due by September 30. Financial aid forms (CSS Profile and FAFSA) follow by October 15.
Eligibility
