About This Scholarship
The Emory University Scholar Programs — headlined by the Woodruff Scholars Program — award partial to full merit-based scholarships to exceptional incoming first-years, with the flagship Woodruff covering full tuition for eight semesters. Scholars also get early course registration, exclusive programming, faculty mentorship, and a built-in community, and awards renew for eight regular academic-year semesters with continued academic excellence.
The consideration mechanics are refreshingly light: there is no separate scholarship application, no nomination form, and no extra essays. You must do exactly two things — submit a complete admission application under Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision by November 15, and answer "Yes" to the application question asking whether you want to be considered for the Emory University Scholar Programs. Miss the checkbox and you are not considered.
Note the calendar quirk: even Regular Decision applicants (whose admission deadline is January 1) must have everything in by November 15 to stay in the scholar pool. Decision notification comes by March 1.
