Irene and Daisy MacGregor Memorial Scholarship Opening Soon
Offered by National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
About This Scholarship
The Irene and Daisy MacGregor Memorial Scholarship is the Daughters of the American Revolution's flagship award for future physicians. Two students each receive $5,000 toward an approved course of study to become a medical doctor at an accredited medical school — pre-med, veterinary, and physician assistant programs are expressly outside its scope. The award also extends to graduate students in psychiatric nursing at accredited institutions.
Selection is merit-driven: applicants need high scholastic standing and character, with a minimum 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale. The scholarship's founding terms state a preference for female applicants when candidates are equally qualified.
Like other DAR national scholarships, the application runs on the society's online portal during a single annual window, November 1 through January 31. Questions go to the national vice chairman at [email protected]. No DAR membership or lineage is required.
