BECU Foundation Scholarship Opening Soon
Offered by BECU Foundation (administered by College Success Foundation)
About This Scholarship
The BECU Foundation — the philanthropic arm of Washington's largest credit union — awards scholarships to dozens of student members each year who embody the credit union movement's people-helping-people philosophy. Sixty-four students receive two-year awards of $2,500 per year, worth up to $5,000 total, and the program is administered by the College Success Foundation.
Both graduating high school seniors and current college students (freshman through junior year) can apply, making this a rare credit union program that current undergraduates can enter on equal terms. Applicants need at least a 2.5 GPA and must plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit U.S. institution full time; renewal for the second year requires staying enrolled full time and keeping a 2.5+ GPA.
Applicants must be BECU members and primary account holders when they apply. BECU membership is free and open to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Washington state, plus parts of Oregon and Idaho, so establishing eligibility ahead of the December opening is straightforward for Northwest students.
