About This Scholarship
The AICPA Foundation Scholarship for Future CPAs is funded by the charitable arm of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the world's largest member association for the accounting profession. The award supports undergraduate and graduate students who intend to sit for the CPA Exam and pursue CPA licensure after graduation, with scholarships of $5,000 to $10,000 paid directly to the recipient's college or university.
Applicants must have completed at least 30 semester hours of college coursework, including at least six hours in accounting, and hold a 3.0 GPA both overall and in their major. The application runs through the AICPA's ThisWayToCPA student platform, which also hosts the foundation's other awards for transfer students and minority accounting students.
The AICPA Foundation has supported accounting education for decades as part of its mission to build the CPA pipeline. Applications for academic-year funding typically open December 1 and close in mid-March.
