Region 4 Dr. Barbara Wright Scholarship
Offered by New Jersey State Nurses Association
About This Scholarship
The New Jersey State Nurses Association, the state's professional nursing organization, offers the Region 4 Dr. Barbara Wright Scholarship to support nursing students in its central-Jersey region. The $500 award honors Dr. Barbara Wright and serves NJSNA Region 4, which covers Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset counties in New Jersey plus Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Eligibility runs on two tracks. Registered nurses applying must have been NJSNA Region 4 members for at least one year and be enrolled in a nursing program. Pre-licensure nursing students, however, are exempt from the membership requirement as long as they live in Region 4 or attend an accredited nursing program there — so undergraduates working toward their first nursing license can apply without joining the association.
The application is a fillable PDF downloaded from NJSNA's scholarship page and submitted directly to the association. Previous recipients of the award are not eligible to apply again.
