Kaiser Permanente Deloras Jones RN Scholarship Program - Southern Region
Offered by Kaiser Permanente
About This Scholarship
The Southern Region edition of Kaiser Permanente's Deloras Jones RN Scholarship serves Southern California residents pursuing nursing degrees, from associate programs through doctorates. Like its Northern counterpart, it is administered by Scholarship America, honors a 34-year Kaiser Permanente nursing leader, and pointedly excludes Kaiser Permanente employees — the money goes to community nursing students, not staff.
Applicants must be enrolled either in a Southern California BRN-approved pre-licensure program (ADN, BSN, or entry-level MSN) at an accredited school, or in a CCNE-accredited post-graduate MSN/MN or doctoral nursing program (PhD, DNSc, or DNP). Award tiers run $2,000 for pre-licensure students, $2,500 for RNs pursuing a master's, and $3,000 for doctoral students, with the portal listing an overall $1,000-$3,000 range.
Candidates need at least one completed academic term including a clinical nursing course with a clinical rotation by the September 24, 2026 deadline, a 3.5 minimum GPA, and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Part-time students are considered, but preference goes to those enrolled full time.
