ENA Foundation Academic Scholarships Last Chance
Offered by Emergency Nurses Association Foundation
About This Scholarship
The ENA Foundation is the charitable arm of the Emergency Nurses Association, the professional association representing emergency nurses since 1970. Each year the foundation funds academic scholarships that help current and future emergency nurses complete degrees at every level, from associate and baccalaureate programs through master's tracks in nursing administration, nurse practitioner, nursing education, and public health, up to PhD, DNP, and EdD doctoral study.
Awards in the academic scholarship program range from $1,000 to $10,000, and the foundation runs two application cycles a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. The fall 2026 cycle is open August 17 through September 18, with recipients notified in November and funds disbursed in December. A single application covers the scholarships in each category for which the applicant qualifies.
Most scholarships require current ENA membership, but the program is broader than many association funds: undergraduate awards are open to individuals as well as nurses pursuing a BSN, and the Non-RN scholarship category explicitly serves rescue workers and emergency department staff seeking associate or bachelor's degrees without any membership requirement.
Eligibility
- Undergraduate: individuals and nurses pursuing a baccalaureate degree in nursing (ENA membership required except for the Elizabeth B. Moore Memorial Scholarship)
- Graduate: emergency nurses pursuing a master's in nursing administration, nurse practitioner, nursing education, or public health (ENA member)
- Doctoral: emergency nurses pursuing a PhD, DNP, or EdD (ENA member)
- Non-RN category: rescue workers and emergency department staff seeking an associate or baccalaureate degree; ENA membership not required
