DAR Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship Opening Soon
Offered by National Society Daughters of the American Revolution
About This Scholarship
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, founded in 1890, runs one of the country's longest-standing private scholarship programs, and its health professions slate includes a dedicated award for therapy students. The Occupational/Physical Therapy Scholarship pays $5,000 each to four students who have been accepted to or are attending an accredited school of occupational or physical therapy — with art therapy and music therapy programs also qualifying.
Selection weighs financial need alongside academic record, and applicants document their standing with either an acceptance letter or a current transcript. No DAR affiliation is required for this scholarship.
DAR scholarships share a common annual window: applications open November 1 and close January 31 on the society's online scholarship portal. For students in PT and OT programs — where several association-run scholarships require paid professional memberships — this is one of the cleaner no-strings national awards available.
