About This Scholarship
AcctoFi is the newly reimagined name of the Accounting Education Foundation, the charitable partner of the Texas Society of CPAs, and its mission is blunt: remove financial roadblocks for future Texas CPAs. The foundation awards scholarships of up to $2,500 to accounting students at eligible four-year Texas universities and up to $1,000 to students at select Texas community colleges offering the additional 30 hours needed for licensure. Named memorial scholarships — the John Baines, Jeff Gregg, and Kelly Hunter awards — run alongside the general pool.
This is a scholarship for students deep into the accounting pipeline rather than those just starting out. Applicants must have completed at least 90 credit hours including 15 hours of accounting by August 31, carry a 3.25 or better GPA in accounting courses, and be graduating no earlier than Spring 2027.
