I've been thinking about a topic lately, and I wanted to get some reader input on it. I've been thinking about financial disasters.
You see, I'm a big “worst case scenario” planner. I always want to be as prepared (financially) as possible for any worst case scenarios. And I've run through a lot of the basics: death, disability, illness, etc.
But what else is there? What do you consider to be a financial disaster? I want to know what you've thought about, what you've planned for? Or even more useful, has there been an experience with someone you know that led you to do something different.
Please share your story below and let's discuss financial disasters…
So I guess a lot of people are a little shy to comment on this one, but I've been getting some interesting emails. Here are those fears:
– Having to support my mom and dad financially since my dad lost his job earlier than expected.
– I'm in student loan debt over $50,000 and can't pay it back.
– Losing a job at 22 is a lot different than losing a job at 55.
